Manhattan Transfer ruined this tune and many others such as Body and Soul. What a bunch of Dildos! I remember Jaco saying something like, "That was Crap!"

Maybe Wayne Shorter is unhappy because of the singers... I've always admired M.T. but after this... Hmm - I don't know. I'd rather heard Weather Report alone this time...

I am the biggest fan of Weather Report / Joe Zawinul/ Wayne Shorter, but this is total cheese. The stupid formation MT made in front of the band, the white folks trying to dance at 3:43 - this is what Weather Report would have looked like if they started playing Holiday Inn lounges. But, a paycheck is a paycheck.

I don't really like that version, but it still good, only if Jaco played bass it would have sounded much better, from my point of view. I love the beggining when people dance and laugh and they are happy...what a hit.

Nothing wrong with MT doing a cover of a great song by Joe Zawinul, he obviously didn't mind. I happen to like both groups. And as far as WR "whoring" themselves out to Playboy, how many of you nits have a paying job, I would venture to say at least 10 percent don't. Me neither.

@ShortsnapsUK If you did your homework, you would know that Weather Report wrote the song and Manhattan Transfer just covered it. You should think before posting.
